Preference will be given to those candidates demonstrating the highest level of professional competency in the following areas: • Effectiveness as a classroom instructor, demonstrated by successful experience teaching Psychology . • Knowledge of different learning styles and teaching techniques with an emphasis on successful teaching experience working with diverse student populations. • Integration of learning resources and support services with instruction. • Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with students, faculty, classified staff, and administration. • Currency in these academic disciplines, as evidenced by graduate coursework, conference presentations, workshop participation or other demonstrable means that show familiarity with current theories and methodologies in Psychology and an ability to provide comprehensive leadership and direction to students in a lecture setting. • Commitment to the integration of critical thinking, writing, reading, oral communication and computation skills into the lecture and laboratory teaching and learning activities. • Knowledge of and ability to use computers and appropriate software applications.
